Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. The formerly enslaved celebrated with prayer, feasting, song, and dance. The following year, the first official Juneteenth celebrations took place in Texas, and it has since become an annual tradition across the United States.

Let your kids enjoy a field trip in the summer! Transportation and an adult chaperone will be provided, but all students will need to pack a lunch for the day.
