Bennett is a small but growing town with community services, good schools, no congestion, clean air and a strong sense of community, where neighbors know neighbors and offer a hand when needed.
The Town boasts over six miles of walking and biking trails, numerous parks, a community center, a recreation center and 200+ acres of protected open spaces.
Our vibrant organization is staffed with highly motivated individuals who are diligently working to improve people’s lives through local government. We work cohesively to tackle issues, preserve our small town charm, and pride ourselves on providing an atmosphere that encourages a positive work-life balance. We encourage our employees’ opportunities for physical health and well-being as a team and in doing so we qualified as the 2020 Champion of Well-Being Employer from Healthlinks alongside with the American Heart Association and have obtained the Bronze status for the Workplace Health Achievement award for 2019 & 2020.
The Town of Bennett is the leading edge on committing a fun, progressive learning environment that encourages staff mentorship and development to be the best to serve the best community.
Our first business spotlight goes to none other than Bennett Parks and Recreation District (BPRD)! They are the ones that host I-70CCTC.
BPRD is a Special District that provides residents with recreational services, including youth and adult sports leagues, fitness classes, aquatics programs, and more. The BPRD has a weight room, large gymnasium, small fitness room, junior Olympic-sized pool, toddler pool, continuous pool, steam rooms, and locker rooms, all of which are available for the public.
BPRD is open to all I-70 corridor residents and is located at 455 S. First St., Bennett CO 80102. Hours include the following:
Friday: 6AM- 7PM
Closed on Sundays
As a special district, the BPRD has no financial affiliation with the Town of Bennett. The District is financially independent and is run by an elected board. Because the BPRD is a special district, its funding is limited. This has not only forced BPRD staff to become very creative when setting up leagues and programs but, in many instances, forced the District to pass some costs on to users and residents. This is why it has been so important to have the financial support of local businesses and generous donors. Without their kindness and charitable donations, the BPRD would not be able to offer the programs that it does.
For more information about special districts or how you can donate to the Bennett Park and Recreation District, please contact the BPRD by phone at 303.644.5040. Visit BPRD for more information!
